Annelisa Marie is a multidisciplinary creative and DJ based in Los Angeles. She leads marketing at ETHGlobal and is co-founder and CTO of TOPIA, a platform for worldbuilders. More than a decade behind the decks has shaped her instinct for audience, rhythm and connection.

Her LA is as much about the people as the places. Off the map, Annelisa points to the communities that keep her rooted: Sunday Runday for weekly all-levels runs in DTLA, Swang for inclusive monthly golf at Rancho Park, Clink for the natural wine nights at Love Hour she loves to DJ, and The Pour Before for artists, tastemakers and a great pour.

When it comes to my “third place” in LA, Love Hour in Koreatown is number one. They’ve got the absolute best smashburgers, and they recently renovated the space with a full bar and updated menu. It’s home to my favorite monthly natural wine event (Clink), and I’ve DJed there a handful of times. It’s a bar, restaurant, community hangout, party spot. A lot of cool events happen there. 10/10 would recommend.

DAMN, I MISS PARIS
My go-to for grabbing drinks with the girls (also a solid spot for date nights). Located in the historic West Adams neighborhood, Black-owned, and has an excellent happy hour.

LOST - DTLA
Some of my favorite DJs play here, and people actually dance (which can sometimes be rare in LA these days lol). They’ve got a bomb taco truck setup and the cocktail menu is fire.

Black-owned, woman-owned bookstore in West Adams. I went here for my friend’s book release event and fell in love with the space.

The Palm and The Pine
“Your Girlfriend’s Favorite Sports Bar.” It’s a great spot to watch literally any sports game. Highly recommend the chicken sandwich ALWAYS!
