Menotti's Tokyo
My go-to cozy coffee shop, co-founded by Derek G. Taylor from FWB/The Park, right around the corner from my apartment in Sasazuka. The perfect café latte to kick off the day.

flotsam books
Little gem of a bookstore in Daitabashi with well curated imported and local titles across fashion, photography, art, and design.

GAME SPOT VERSUS
Super local arcade in Nishi Nippori where the 90s fighting game scene lives on, with streamed competitions, a hardcore community, and lots of classics including major SNK titles. I’ve spent too much on Metal Slug there. No Instagram, just Google it.

Domicile
Domicile is a Harajuku boutique offering a tight, curated selection of up‑and‑coming brands, creators, and hard‑to‑find pieces. Its gallery showcases emerging art—sometimes digital—alongside other contemporary practices.

Hakata Ramen Barikote
My tonkotsu sanctuary in Higashi Koenji. Totally local vibe, no Instagram hype; look up Hakata Ramen Barikote on Tabelog.

Katane Bakery
If you care about bread/bakery (I do), head to this Uehara spot, one of my favorite bakeries in Tokyo. French guy approved!
Park In Park
Park in Park is a cultural venue in Miyashita Park, Shibuya, hosting electronic music, pop-ups, and digital art in a space that operates independently from its adjoining Asian-fusion restaurant. Keep an eye on their program.

The Haruki Murakami Library
My low‑key hideout at Waseda honoring Haruki Murakami. Stunning Kengo Kuma architecture and a deep collection of books plus vinyl vibes—perfect for quiet reads.
NEORT++
A digital art gallery in Bakurocho presenting exhibitions by local and international artists.
